Displays need bright backlights and low reflection to produce enough contrast so they can be seen in the sun. That, plus high ambient temperature, direct sun light, and an inadequately cooled enclosure leads to high temperatures that cook electronics.

CoolVu® is a heat exchanging system that cools electronics with a sealed, clean, dry volume of air that continually circulates across the surface of the LCD and over the electronic components. Isolated ambient cooling air passes through and exhaust from the heat exchangers resulting in a cool long lived display.
